Students from the School of Journalism and Electronic Media sat down with Vietnam veteran and Medal of Honor recipient Col. Walter “Joe” Marm to discuss his life and legacy as recipient of America’s highest military honor. The interview, conducted by JEM students Taylor Hathorn and Brandon Rupert, is part The Medal of Honor Project at the University of Tennessee.
The Medal of Honor Project is an ongoing educational initiative by students, faculty and staff who will document the stories of those whom have been awarded America’s highest military decoration. The project is being carried in collaboration with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Knoxville convention planning committee.
