Film Fest Fan Favorite

teahamaJEM’s very own film, Teach a Man to Fish, has won the audience favorite award for short documentary at the Knoxville Film Fest! The twelve-minute film was produced by journalism professor Nick Geidner, sophomore Hannah Marley, junior Maxwell Baker, and graduate student Clinton Elmore.

“Teach a Man to Fish not only gave my students real-world documentary experience, but it also allowed us to give back to a local organization trying to help wounded veterans,” said Geidner. “While our students will be able to use this film on their resumes, Project Healing Waters will be able to use this film to raise much-needed awareness and funds.”

Congratulations to Geidner, Marley, Baker and Elmore!
